Default Midi Madness 2 in REAPER

Hi folks,

I'm hoping that some of you may be able to help me

I'm trying to get MIDI Madness 2 to run in Reaper, but I am having no luck. I cannot get it to route to a VST or generate any melodies with the available parameters that I set. Does anyone known how to use Midi Madness in Reaper? Please advise

Hello Habitus and welcome to these forums. You'll find many helpful people here and a lot of useful information. Make sure that you:
get the excellent User Guide by Nicholas too: http://www.cockos.com/reaper/userguide.php
and check out Kenny Gioia's great video series: http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=174039

https://www.kvraudio.com/product/mid...dness-software

I've never used it, but load it onto a track as an Insert FX and put a instrument plug-in after it.

And it looks like it is a 64-bit plug-inm, so make sure you are using Reaper 64-bit.

Otherwise, please explain what you have tried so far and exactly what problem you have run into.

Thanks for responding to my post. I have 2 plugins on the FX chain in REAPER:

Midi Madness then Lush 101 second. I can't get the midi madness generator to send any data to the LUSH 101 plugin. Allegedly, Midi Madness creates randomized midi patterns based on set parameters and then outputs them to a vst. I don't know why it is not working.

Try reversing their order.

Shouldn't Lush be sending sound INTO midi madness?

Yea, I tried that and it didn't work. I think Midi Madness just doesn't work well in Reaper. However, I did find a JS plugin called Midi Pattern/Scale Variation that effectively does the same thing as Midi Madness and possibly even better, so I'm good. It just sucks that I paid 66 U.S. for a plugin that is basically designed for Ableton Live.

I do appreciate Y'all for trying to help me out here.

Not saying this will help with your routing issue in Reaper, but I found this Cubase user video informative. I hope it helps some, especially the part about inserting it as an effect in an empty instrument track.

Nope. Sorry. When I copy the URL associated with the dummy thumbnail and paste it into a new window, I get the same 403 error.

I use IMGUR for this purpose. Free, for what I do, and easy to use.

Nope, sorry. That's just a more complicated way of not getting to a picture that won't load.
