I dunno. As much as I'd like to see Solaris SSL become a reality, if Albert ain't feeling it, there's no point in trying to convince him to finish it. The new theme could be even better anyway.
There's nothing worse than working on something you're not into anymore.

I agree that you shouldn't beat a dead horse, but who's to say this "new theme" won't meet the demise of an unfinished theme? And for the record, Albert never said he was tired of SSL or that it is, in fact, dead. It's just been a long time coming.

hello, my intention is not to choose one or several themes ... my intention is to implement all in 1 ... how will I do? and choose the best of all ....
This project is a medium to long time .... because you will have great difficulty ...
I have yet to finish PRO-X TOOLS ........ Thanks to all

So, just to be clear, the original design of Solaris SSL is no longer on the table? You're looking to combine elements from all your theme ideas and make that Solaris SSL?

I need to know this is still alive.

Please, Albert, make it like the ProTools X and set it up for donations. A lot of us would LOVE to see this finished. What's the status?

(grin) I already donated once on the Protools theme, but this is the one I have yearned for all along.

As do many many others.

*sigh* but I am a patient man.

I too donated a small amount for the Pro Tools theme to encourage Albert to work on Solaris. I'd happily donate again for a finished version of Solaris but only if it looks like the original concept:

That is dead sexy and would be the finest mixer ever to grace any DAW

Not just sexy, but clearly laid out and labeled, plus it suits how I expect information to be presented to me in a mixer.

Call me old-fashioned, or just pour me one.

The amount of time spent agonizing and complaining over this theme MCP by some of you could have been better spent learning to theme. I feel like if you can operate Reaper with any amount of competence, you can learn WALTER.

Not to be rude, but it sounds like you yourself don't have a clue as to the amount of time that goes into themes of Albert's caliber. A lot of us are too busy using Reaper for its intended purpose - making great music. I for one have taken themes and modified them to my liking. That, in itself is very time consuming. Please allow us a little room to gripe at such a beautiful theme not coming to fruition. It's a disappointment but we'll get over it and appreciate the awesome work that is being published.

Still probably the best theme that will ever come out. Alberts Pro tools Gold ED has been holding it down though until this thing hits the net.

Albert; are you the author of the theme ALBERT C - (REA - REVOULTION 2)?

The most perfect theme out there IMHO but oh. I'd give my castle in Syria to have the playrate knob or slider in there somewhere...

Don't ask me. It could have been the finest theme ever to grace any DAW. The one he's working on now is ok but nowhere near as professional looking as this one....in my opinion of course, others will disagree. Anyway my offer to donate for a finished version of this theme still stands. Maybe if enough people pledge he'll be motivated to work on it further.

I think many would donate. Me as well. I like that theme by far more than the other that is in progress at the moment in the other thread.
But unfortunately I guess it will never see the light of day.

The problem is that themeing REAPER is way too much effort how it works today.

I actually started 3, 4 themes the last 4 years - and never finished one. Started with one, worked for some weeks on it (not every day). Then got frustrated by the huge effort you have to put in and then cancelled.
A few months later another try with new ideas. But then it went the same way like with the theme before. And another few months later the next attempt.

Gladly I never released any screenshots though ;-) So I'm still in for a surprise
