Notion Aquired
.. by Presonus.

Maybe it's easier / faster to buy stuff that already works than to code it.

I think this could be very interesting not only for Presonus users, but also for all other 'No score editor' DAW users (Reaper included)
I mean it is plainly obvious that an ARA version of Notion would be the cleverest thing Presonus could do, it would automagically upgrade their flagship (S1) and also be usable by other DAW (Bigger market for its score app)
Plus this may actually get some other developers to support ARA (A poorly supported side joke right now)
Obviously this would be closer to MRA than ARA hahaha and Reaper already has that with it's ME, but it does not take a huge stretch of the imagination to see ARA extended to fit MIDI as well as audio (Depending on how much control Celemony have and refuse to give up)

You know, that was my first thought, ARA. But on more reflection, I thought...
1. Is there actually any audio (transferring or managing) even involved there? and...
2. If they own it, they can just embed or connect it (or parts of it) directly.
So I'm not sure if ARA will have any purpose there... if there is any audio there that needs random access. Probably more of a midi thing.

MRA, hehe. MIDI Random Access. That's something recently released Wallander Note Performer is actually using within Sibelius.

That company must be doing very well financially. They're also building a new $8 mil HQ studio / school / facility that they broke ground on about a year ago.

Every time I turn around ti seems they're buying another product, Nimbit, now Notion. They seem to have big long term plans. I hope they don't turn into AVID.

Big difference
Avid create hardware to shift their software
Presonus create software to shift their hardware haha

I like notion, it still needs a LOT to be as quick to use for creating lessons as guitar pro, but it does have several advantages as well
