Yeah I guess it is then. Sorry to joke about it. You invested some time in explaining yourself, I appreciate that. I'm sure your right, I just haven't been too concerned in it so far.

It was giving the default MIDI note for the pitch, rather than the actual MIDI note played.

If you have an Eb display transposition and place a middle C on the stave, it's actually playing an Eb (MIDI:63) rather than a C4 (MIDI:60)

I would actually have preferred some indicator in that box that this is not the default or concert-pitch mapping, but at least it's not reporting an incorrect MIDI note number now Maybe we can work on that after v5.20


Edit: Sorry this is a duplicate thread, best to let it die-off...
