Default OS X 10.9.3 + Reaper 4.62/64 = Maximum Crashiness?

I just downloaded and installed this week and yesterday while working on my first two significant projects, Reaper died unceremoniously at least 10 times -- probably closer to 20.

After the first couple of crashes, I figured out how/where to set up the auto-save feature so now when it crashes I don't lose nearly as much, but damn ... something is afoot at the Circle K.

I installed on my system, which already had GarageBand, some third-party plugins from several sources (including BlueCat), and BFD Eco installed. There didn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason for the crashes in terms of what I was doing at the time or other coincidental features. I was using BFD Eco heavily in the projects I was working on yesterday, as well as some Apple and BlueCat AU plug-ins.

Are there known issues here I'm running into? Should I just upgrade to latest/greatest of everything (i.e., 10.9.4, Reaper 4.7, check for BFD Eco updates) and hope for the best?

Any help here is appreciated. The final product is emerging nicely, but I can't mess around with something that's going to be this unstable.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice/feedback.

Default Update: Upgrade to 4.7 & Reboot -- Crashiness continues

Upgraded Reaper to 4.7 and rebooted because of an unrelated driver install and the crashes continue.

A quick review of the dump file makes it look like this is related to BFD Eco.

Anybody else using BFD Eco? Similar/related experiences?

Not only did the blog post call out BFD by name as a good candidate for this, the crash dump was specifically in the voice synthesis function of BFD when that particular thread crashed (that time).

So it's not quite a smoking gun, but it's very warm and lying right next to the body. I'll push it a little and see what we get.

Thanks!!!
