Default Arturia Microbrute only responding to first midi note.. then silence.

Hi All
I've got my Microbrute hooked up to a project and everything is recognised and working but when I send a midi signal to the synth it only responds to the initial midi note.. after that there is no response.
If I click on and 'hit' a note on the midi window it responds so it's working.. is there a setting that is somehow preventing it from just reading my midi file?
Thanks

even stranger.. it's working on the higher notes. So I assumed the notes were too low to register and so were not being heard but if I click on those low notes rather than let them be 'read' then they trigger so they're not too low!! what's going on??

ok so it seems like there is some embedded info in the midi notes that is causing them not to respond because if i write a part and record from the microbrute as oppose to a pre written file it sees it and plays it.. so that means i've got to re-write all midi parts in real time all over again!! hmmm must be a solution.
