Default Good free piano VSTI's?

I'm looking for a good free piano VSTI and a good free synth-string-ensemble VSTI. What are some? Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

MDA Piano on the Smart Electronix site. The GUI isn't all that but the sound is good. His other synths are nice too.

Also, you can mix the MDA with Yohng.

I remember vaguely that one had better low register and the other had something else going for it, but the two together were "the best".

I guess there are some pianos in Independence free unless I'm wrong.

AND there are some nice free soundfonts - one is called something like "Equinox" or similar.

Proteus VX free has some very good piano and organ sounds ( other instruments too )that I've found. The Independence Free pianos are terrible...it has some good drums though.
