undo history doesn't get cleared when starting new project - bug ?

I have "Save undo history with project files" and "allow load of undo history checked" in Preferences, but shouldn't the undo history get cleared when I start a new project via File/New project ? Here it doesn't. I think it doesn't make much sense keeping an old undo history for a new project, or ?

I have the same settings, and just tried File > New Project here. Works as expected, that is, the undo history is cleared and set to "Initial State". Reaper 3.13.

Hmm...strange.
I'm on 3.131pre4 (Win) and it doesm't. I have also ticked "Prompt to save on new project" Maybe this makes a difference. (Shouldn't though I think).

OK, I checked this option as well.

Loaded an old project with a large undo history.
Then, File > New Project.
The Save on new project kicked in and I saved the new project.
Undo history still reset to "Initial State".

But... on the menu bar I now see "[Save as with move/copy/trim options]". Is that what you see also?

User error alarm !

I have noticed that I have also ticked "load default project" when starting new project. My default project is empty, but it contains a undo history (had forgotten to delete it when I saved it as default).

So that undo history gets loaded. When I untick this option, everything is fine, project starts with empty undo history.
