Default getting a midi controller to play reasynth (akai mpk mini)

I am failing to get the akai mpk mini to create midi messages that reasynth (or any instrument) can understand. i have managed to 'learn' knobs to do things. im getting ready to return the midi controller and forget it.

edit---

ok, i figured out that the device is found in the routing matrix, and with a bit of trial and error i figured it out for now. sorry for the spam.

I'm curious as to why you are pursuing Reasynth instead of vsti's.
Are you the type that likes a challenge or just a glutton for punishment?

I know that sounds sarcastic, but am actually interested.

its just an 'easy' first synth to pull up and strike a note.

if ya can't run reasynth with a midi controller (which i will probably fail to accomplish next time i try) ... then one has some requisite learning to do whether one owns Diva or not
