Default Soundspot Overtone EQ + Reaper weirdness

Scenario: A beat from FXpansion's Geist on a track 1. First kick on bar 1 gets muffled by Overtone VST (but not with the VST3 version). Only Soundspot's Overtone on the master.

2. This effect also gets rendered to the track if Overtone is ON, on the master. That's weird...

I hope the image explains it further. I'll try to get this through to Soundspot as well, but I wanted to see if anyone else confirm this, or is it only me?

I use a custom action to render a track. It looks like this:

Same issue but with less effect spotted in the VST3 version of Overtone.

Yes, perhaps that is a must. It is not only about Overtone now that I'm looking into to it more.

Confirmed.
I started testing with all the different rendering settings but then realized that I don't even need to do all that.
It's really firstly a playback issue I think.
I put a snare hit at bar 2.
Playing from bar 1 all OK.
Playing from bar 2 muffles.
Anticipative FX Processing and Media Buffering settings make no difference.
Tested with several other FX..all OK (starting bar 2).
NOTE: The muffling still happens even if Overtone is bypassed from within itself (I don't mean Reaper's wet/dry knob or FX list checkbox)... so nothing to do with Overtone's actual EQ settings (bypassed or not) but something to do with it's internal workings somehow?
Maybe it has some kind of Plugin Delay but is failing to report it to Reaper (as shown bottom left of FX list window: 0/0 spls).
