Default novation bass station 2 crashes Reaper x64

I'm using the latest Reaper, and while I've amazingly never had a plugin cause Reaper to crash every single time I instantiate, this is the one.

Same thing in every mode (buggy compatibility, separate process), same thing from using the 32 or 64 bit flavors of it.

Anyone (else)?

Thanks!

thanks ollie! I thought I would see if the Reaper hive mind had seen something with this particular plugin before stepping up to reporting a bug.

Google says the hive is using their bass stations w/o trouble, but I wanted you to post the crash log in order to see what actually crashed and maybe why.

I'm having the exact same problem, unfortunately. Windows 7 Home Premium x64, Reaper 4.611 x64, Bass Station 2.0 x64 (or x86, stereo or mono). Crashes every single time.

OK this thread is a year old and I haven't seen anything new but I'll post here rather than start a new one.. I JUST got my Novation Launchkey 49 today (recommended in another thread, it came early from Sweetwater).

Reaper crashes EVERY time I load the Bass Station vst. Running Reaper 64 and it crashes with any of the four Bass Station vsts (x86 or x64 or mono for either). 100% repeatable.

SO this VST is currently completely unusable. V-station works fine but not Bass Station.

Whose problem is this? Cocko's or Novation? Sorta pissed off as I just got this thing today.

Addendum: I installed Automap 4 and was able to configure the transport keys. And now Bass Station is working. Not sure why, and I don't think it had anything to do with Automap, but at least I'm a happy camper...

Just one more followup in case anyone else's search leads here: I have confirmed that Reaper is not the problem and I think the problem is solely Novation's. Just downloaded Ableton Live Lite 9. Bass Station 2 crashed that as well.

Novation/Focusrite do seem to have issues with authoring decent software in general in my experience.

Been through several of their interfaces, installed most of the plugs that came with them - flaky.
Also had a Novation Remote Zero that was always iffy in Reaper.

Maybe it is just me but I have seen lots of other folks with similar issues.

In the interest of balanced info - I'm chipping-in with my experience:

Quad core PC
Win 7 Home premium x64
REAPER 4.76 x64

Logitech K800 wireless keyboard
Logitech G602 wireless mouse

Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 and accompanying software:
Scarlett Mix control
Scarlett Plug-in Suite
Novation Bass Station

No hang-ups (so far) with any of this over the last 1+ year.

Obviously ymmv.

Absolutely! When I first started having problems with a Saffire6 years ago I had a couple of friends at the time with an almost identical setup to mine who had zero issues with the same interface OR the accompanying plugins.

Luck of the draw regarding MOBO and maybe GFX card compatibility.
And of course in the case of USB interfaces, how well written the drivers are.
