They've been giving their stuff away in different ways for a while now. The first one I remember was liking their Facebook page for a free plugin. There was another similar giveaway, can't remember right now, and now this discounted whole set. I'm not a huge fan of their plugins, although the suit looks nice. They're all large dll files, like 2-3 megs each. Kinda bulky.

Yes, I weighed my computer before and after installing the bundle and I agree, it's about 2 lbs heavier with the Plug And Mix plugins installed.

Critical real world Info:

$49 dollars for 40+ plugins from a reputable company where I bought my Nomad and other plugins from.

Me? I looked at online reviews (Youtube, gearslutz, etc.) to get an opinion on how they sound. Guys like Graham at The Recording Revolution gave them a clear thumbs up.

I bought them. No brainer.

The Dimension 3D is pretty good and I used that a lot, but the free Acon Multiplier is better. I find myself using more now.

I tried various other plugins... they're ok, do the job, but nothing stood out for me. $49 for everything though is a cracking deal and if I was starting from nothing, a definite no-brainer. I looked through the list just now to see if there was anything I would like for $9.99 but again, nothing stood out. I think Analoger is the only one that looks interesting.

I've tried several of their Fxs and remembered liking quite a few especially Dimension.I like that they are easy to get good results.

I got the full suite a while ago during a group buy, at $49 they are fantastic value - if you actually need a few of them! None of the plugins in the suite have been able to replace my usual tools for common tasks but they all have their own character and sometimes they are just the right thing. The amp sims are better than I expected, especially the Vox inspired one which has a unique tone and texture that I like when it's overdriven.

Downloading now - $49 can't really go wrong even if only one or two are usable

The big problem with that bundle is that everybody except perhaps the total beginners already have similar plugins in the collection (just as good or better than those are). I do have a couple of those and have tried them all. There's only few of them that really stand out like Clarisonix, Echoplex, Digital Plate and Analoger (I'm sure I've missed a couple of really good ones). So, even though $49 is the great price the question is if anybody wants all of those plugs but otoh, only those few I listed are for sure worth more than $49 and one can always choose to install only the ones he needs.

Cheers,
Alex

Not sure that redundancy is a "big problem" though.

But as you said, those few that stand out are worth the price and more.

My Vst collection is now getting out of control. I didnt have much time to play around with them yet, but the Clarisonix has already proven itself to me.

Thanks for the link, and costing me money!

Do you have to install them all?

Hahahahaha. To each is own man. My vst collection got outta hand big time at one point. I'm a plugin junkie. Had to clean out my collection and stay disciplined with it. For me, these plugs would be redundant for the most part, but that's not to say some other folks wouldn't find gold here. I'm under the persuasion that too many options stunts creativity, and less is more. Stick with what works and don't reinvent solutions. But it sure is tempting to indulge!

I just keep my 'bulk' plugins in a separate folder from my 'used' plugins and add it to the VST path in Reaper when it's time to play around or experiment. When I actually use one I move it over to the used folder

Folders are the saving grace: they allow you to hide the clutter—they're the extra closet space of the DAW world.

I have a lot of Plugins, despite knowing that I also suffer from "choice overload paralysis" when staring at anything from an aisle full of chocolate bars to a folder full of plugins that all do the same thing.

I think that I bought these P&M plugs more with the spirit of adventure in mind. I have at least one song where the vibe of that song depends hugely on a specific virtual instrument that is never used in any other song. Although this may seem a waste of money, in the end, having it as a choice was well worth it.
