Yeah, bug fixing is always good.

(It would be perfect if the cursor for item edges would disappear when 'lock item edges' is enabled...)

Also adding a mouse modifier for drag-zoom when hovering over an item edge inadvertently would make things less fiddly

Congrats on your first pre!!! When I got mine, I got two in a row. Each time was an accident! A watched pot never boils!

Looking forward to see where the go with 4.73.

I have AMD A8-5500 processor with 4 CPUs. When you, devs, will fix compatibility with AMD procs?

What's wrong with REAPER on AMD?

If you have Intel and AMD compare the same project on these two processors and you will hear the difference.

You should make a test project that doesn't include third party plug-ins, and render it on each, and post the project, media, and the renders.

Let me guess - Intel sounds more analog?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Doesn't matter, pure math logic says that there must be no difference, since the SAME code is being executed on the CPU.

Actually, there could be *incredibly small* differences in the floating point math, depending on the plug-ins used, because of different code paths (SSE vs x87, for example) being used (due to ICC generating multiple versions and dispatching them). The differences would likely be specific to particular plug-ins (possibly including ReaPlugs, but likely *not* JSFX), and shouldn't affect REAPER itself.

Having said that, whether those differences would survive a dither or truncate to 16 or even 24 bits is to be seen; hence my request for renders of a common project on each CPU...

Well... I would venture that those *incredibly small* differences would result in net result of 1/1000th of a dB in the grand scale of things, which is not something any human could discern really. So, it would pretty much end up in the digital noise floor and very likely dithered out. I just don't see it as an earth-shattering difference like vitalker is suggesting.
