Notation editor question

Hi all, long-time (since v3) user here but first post. I have written a short piano piece using the notation editor that I would like to print out using the export pdf option. However I have a few semiquaver chromatic runs that look awful as the flat symbols are squashed up into the notes even when restricting the page width to 2 bars. Am I missing any obvious settings? I know I could export the MIDI to Musescore but would like to keep everything inside Reaper.
