Sort that and this will be one cool theme

NAS is correct about the shadow. However, this theme is a pleasant surprise. I didn't think I'd like it much, but after installing it, I find it very nice! Nice work.

Good catch.
I'll probably roll it into an update next week.
I'll wait see if there are any other issues that pop up.

Default How to use Upgrayedd

I downloaded Upgrayedd but it looks nothing at all like the screenshot in this thread. Is the difference the "Etched Aluminum & Chrome Mixer", and if so, how do I make it work? I like the retro black sliders, et cetera.

It should look the same.
The graphics in the "Exxtras" folder is only for when you want to change the look of the plastic mixer to etched aluminum.

To have the theme pictured in the screenshot, don't swap out any of the graphics from the "Exxtras" folder.
Just put the "Upgrayedd" folder (with all the graphics) and the "Upgrayedd.ReaperTheme" file in the REAPER themes folder.

The Mcp all have nice round corners where the tcp are boxy square
which I find...unpleasant Other than that, I find this has a great
balance between 2d and 3d.

That's exactly what I did, including downloading it and installing it twice, but it looks like the attached screenshot "upgrayedd.jpg".

I am using Reaper v.3.104 rev 8479.

Check this, in 'Preferences' go to the 'Theme' section (under 'Appearance') make sure there is a check by 'theme uses image resources' and in the dropdown menu "upgrayedd" is selected.

Above that (next to Default image resources) put a check by "Allow themes to override".

to get the full effect of this theme, you should enjoy this
while using reaper:

Mr. Harrison -

I think that what you are experiencing has to do with how he packaged the theme. If you just extract the stuff into your "Themes" folder (like I normally do), it won't work. You need to take the folder INSIDE the "upgrayedd" folder also called "upgrayedd" and move that to the "Themes" folder. Hope I'm making any sense. I had the same problem.

I did exactly what you said -- no luck; it still shows as in the screen
shot I posted earlier. Other themes (Black Silk and Flowtek, for example)
work fine.

Okay, I tried once more before posting the above, and here's the result:
The .zip file is not set up to be dropped directly into the ColorThemes
folder. The Upgrayedd folder that is inside the Upgrayedd folder that is
inside the Upgrayedd folder (yes, three folders deep!) is the one that
goes into the ColorThemes folder. if I had paid closer attention to
johnnygentry's "Just put the 'Upgrayedd' folder (with all the graphics)"
direction, I'd have saved myself some trouble. Mind you, a better folder
tree in the .zip file would be helpful. 8-)

Anyway, problem solved.

Nice reminds me of a Dj mixer .

I really like the Icons in the top right corner just what I'd love to be able to make for my theme but don't have the skills any chance I could use them.

This theme is now my favorite for editing. It simply hides everything I hardly touch. If you know where everything is, this is your theme IMO. Talk about declutter supreme.
