They didn't ban me but they deleted enough of my posts, I basically self imposed my own ban and haven't been back since.

Nice to know I'm not alone here, Tod. I could be wrong; maybe I just don't go there enough and they are freezing me. Oh well, not to worry. Plenty of help available here. I'm not likely to buy any more of their stuff anyway after the HB disappointment.

Default Reaper Basics

Hi There,
Reaper does come with some instruments and you can also add more free VST instruments as well as plugging in real instruments.

I was a complete NOOB just over a week ago, but by following the Reaper 101 series on YouTube, I've learned a ton of stuff.

Watch the following video that takes you through the installation, connecting a midi instrument as well as using a guitar and adding effects.

I believe you would benefit greatly from reading the manual. It will guide you through where to place your plugins and how to set Reaper up to find them. I am not at my music machine right now but I believe there is a link to the document in the Help section in the Reaper program.

Why were you disappointed, Michael? I was thinking of trying out sometime, as you can hire by the month apparently.
