Default Can't add effects
Suddenly, I am unable to add effects. I can open the effects window and see ones that area already on a track, but I can't add any. What is going on?

I tried un-unstalling and re-installing but no joy. It seems that some preferences are preserved from the last install?

Oh, the same is true if I choose 'insert virtual instrument on new track'. It just doen't work...

SOLVED! I was being stupid. I had another monitor plugged in but not switched on. The effects window was opening there.
