Default Don't show "Would you like to view your audio device configuration?" dialog (DONE)

Hi guys,
I just filled out a feature request for one thing that bugs me constantly. It's of no great importance but if you feel the same way give it your votes. Thanks.
Don't show the "Would you like to view your audio device configuration?" dialog

Since this only shows when you have an issue with your audio interface, why would you want to disable it?It is a fail-safe provision. Frequently reminds me to PLUG IN my BabyFace when I am away from the studio and trying to records!

Since this is an all-Ivan thread, I do feel guilty piddling on your fireworks though... sorry.

Couldn't this be more automated? In my case when no external audio interface is connected, I really just want it to select the internal one, no need to ask. That's how it works in Ableton Live.

ivansc, there are times when I have the interface disconnected, I just want to quickly render or bounce something and be done with it. It's a matter of seconds (praise Reaper for its lightning fast startup time) and annoying questions don't belong to an efficient workflow.

In an all- (or mostly-) ivan thread, your opinion counts as double!

+1 to more intelligent behavior of Reaper (automatically choose an available interface).

not only that, if you're constantly swtiching between programs that need to steal MIDI, every time you hit play (i think), the window pops back up. A "Don't show this message again" would be quite palatable. Edit: Has to do with midi, not audio. But equally annoying.

Yes. Voted. Great for those new to the program but should be disableable.

After spending 3 or 4 hours in an alcohol-induced stupor the last thing I wanna do is waste another precious 10 seconds on some unnecessary dialog box so yeah, Im pretty indignant about it.

Having a pesky dialog box telling me my MIDI device can't be opened everytime I press play annoys me to no end, especially as it steals focus and your can't do anything until clicking on it.

1) MODAL DIALOG BOXES SUCK!!!! MIDI device, audio config, and low disk space etc. should all be modeless.

2) They need the option to not be shown again. It might make sense for this to reset when the program is restarted. This is useful information, but I only need to be told once...

3) All dialog boxes should accept keyboard input to register the user's choice (including binding ESC to "cancel", enter for "OK", etc -- this is one Reaper needs to clean up across dialog boxes, IIRC.)

4) All dialog boxes should have a small delay before they accept keyboard input, and that delay should lengthen if the user was typing while the box appeared (my #1 UI peeve is when you're typing and an important dialog box appears, steals focus, and vanishes before you can even see what it was, just because you were in mid-type and happened to hit one of the active hotkeys it was listening for.)
