Default Error initializing ASIO driver always requires reboot with UX2

Hi,

Whenever Reaper crashes, I get the "There was an error while opening your audio hardware: Error initializing ASIO driver" statement.

My line 6 UX2 interface cannot be reinitialized in Reaper without rebooting. But the UX2 interface works fine with all other programs including Podfarm 2 standalone.

Is there a way to reinitialize asio for UX2 in Reaper without having to reboot everytime? (I'm running 32 bit windows XP media center edition).

My sample rate is 128 on UX2 and reaper project, but this issue occurs regardless of what sample rate I use.

I've searched the forum for solutions to this but haven't found one. I have lived with this problem the last couple of years because reaper doesn't crash much for me (in this most recent crash case, i figured out the cause of the crash by opening offline and removing the problem plugins, but it didn't matter so i had to reboot).

It's a bit tiring since a reboot on my computer could take 5 minutes. Any solutions I am missing???

Thanks

HiAMP

That's happening to me a lot as well, but with an XTLive. I have to switch it off and back on to get Reaper to do anything, although Foobar/whatever works as normal.

I suspect Line6 shenanigans more than Reaper, though.
