Best way to compare guitar track volume, EQ & frequency response?

Hi folks,

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction on how to accomplish something. I own a Kemper Profiling Amp - its not exactly a modeler but for now, lets just think of it as one. I have a bunch of different profiles that I want to level the volume and compare the EQ & frequency response.

I was thinking the best way to do this would be if I could create a sample in a looper, and play that through my Kemper to record each of the different amp profiles as a separate track into Reaper. Then, somehow I could take a snap shot of each one to compare the volume, EQ and FR.

Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, easy... if you've got the necessary gear.
Do it your way, or...
DI record a guitar track.
Re-amp it.
Make judgements on the results.

You'd need either a DI box, or an interface with a Hi-Z input, to get the dry signal, and an interface with a spare output, the gadget that get's the signal down to 'amplifier input level', a mic, to get the signal out and back in to the 'puter.
Once you've got your tracks for comparison, you can (should) use your ears, though you could watch meters and spectrum analysers.

Actually, your way makes more sense, since you wouldn't need half the gear in my way
