Default how to create samplechains / even spacing between samples / Octatrack

Hej Folks,

i just want to create samplechains for the Octatrack. For now i'm using Octachainer 1.2 which works but i like to use Reaper.

To get that working i need to spread samples evenly spaced over the timeline/grid. The longest sample will give the spacing information. Then just export the whole track in one wav.

Here is some additional information:
http://patcharena.com/tag/how-to-mak...sample-chains/

Is there any SWS action or a easy combination, maybe a script available?

I will dig around the Reaper functions but maybe someone have a quick and easy workaround, it would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
T

You might try "Xenakios/SWS: Reposition selected items..."

edit:
If I understand correctly, you need to align the samples end to end ?
If so, this should do with above action, tick "Item end" and set "Time interval" to 0 (or to some other value if you want a constant gap).

Thanks for the tip. What i want is to spread the selected items over the grid based on length of the longest sample but on grid and equal distance/time from start to end.

Please check the patcharena link this will descibe what i mean more clear.
