Default Please give us a better Drum Synth

I don't get the reasoning behind the Reasynthdrum.

Just like ReaSynth, it's a (very) basic (and reliable) VSTi, mostly for testing purposes. Since there are tons of highly developed freeware and payware plug-ins on the market and the development resources are limited, the general consent is that development of instruments has a very, very low priority.

Edit: Here is a (pretty strange) example project made with REAPER stock plug-ins demonstrating that ReaSynDr can be beefed up to a cheap analog drumsynth.

Thankx Ollie. I still would like a better Reaper native drumsynth plug without the need Frankinstein-ing a bunch Reaper/JS plugins eating up CPU.

There's no shortage of good (and not-so-good) drum FX out there.

so maybe the devs don't see a point in them developing something that already exists and works in Reaper.

I have to agree, I'm not personally interested in things being added that can easily be achieved for free, or cheaply.

Core things, like MIDI being worked on, groove quantization, and clip based automation, now that's what we need!
