Default Rendering WITH AUTOMATION

Why doesn't the volume automation happen on the rendered file? Also, it's very hard to find info about this.

I solved it by first rendering 'Selected Stems' and adding each to new track, and only then rendering the master mix.

Why such complicated and redundant process to keep the automation in the tracks? Wouldn't it be possible to render it all through the master mix, since it is all perfectly executable while playing it inside the DAW?

For me, rendering includes the effects of all automation including volume envelopes. That doesn't help you directly but there will be a setting or configuration somewhere that will fix your issue. I'm afraid I have no access to Reaper this weekend...

Thanks anyway. It's frustrating to search the forums and find that every question that resembles mine, has zero replies.

It should. Are you sure that you have the envelopes set to Read?

Maybe you could post a small rpp that does not render the volume automation? No need for any audio files, just the rpp with the automation. Maybe someone can figure out why it doesn't happen...

Hello there, thank you for your reply.
Well, I have it set to latch, to record the automation. Do I need to set it to read, after recording then? Doesn't it nullify the automation?

Will try that, thanks.

set the tracks with automation written to read or trim/read mode after writing automation.

Thank you for the tip, I had already worked around the issue, but will have this in mind from now on.

Cheers!

Can you explain how you solved it? I'm going crazy with this issue as well. Thanks!
