Default Setting a Track from Stereo to Mono

I'm just curious on how I can change the who character of a track from stereo to mono like how you would for a kick or a sub. I have seen some videos of how to mock it, but nothing that says "track mono" or "track stereo".

Other DAWs like Ableton, Logic, Reason and so on just have a button somewhere near the volume meter for it. Like how there is one near the master volume.

Sorry if this post was already made, I typed a few different phrases into the search bar and didn't find much.

Right click on the pan knob, select "stereo pan" and set the width to zero.
