Default I'm looking to get a Laptop for Reaper - What are best features it should have?

Hi All:

I'm wanting to start looking for a USED (I don't need a NEW one!) Laptop PC (Not a Mac!) for recording my music and wanted some input regarding brand, the best amount of RAM Memory, sound card, as well as any other features that you all feel would be the ideal (Not the most expensive) features to make Reaper work well with few hangups or crashes, or whatever else you call it when Reaper stops working well.

So you know what I am using it for:

I am a singer and I have a website that I belong to that boasts having over 26,000+ song titles to pick from. Now, I am not going to try to learn 26,000 songs! What I will be doing is making a list of my favorite artists and recording their TOP 10 songs!

What I do with reaper is I have the following tracks to start with:

1 - Music (I record the background music to this track)
2 - Vox (For the vocal
3 - FX - (For the sound effects I apply to the Vox track)

I may add additional track in order to place additional effects to the vocal track but I never expect at this moment to ever us more than a total of 15 tracks.I ay 15 because I have been seeing videos on YouTube that demonstrate how to improve the rich sound of a vocal track wich in a few instances might require the laptop to have certain features.

I am looking to get a USED one as I just can't justify the expense of a NEW one!

If you can, please reply with a list of the hardware that would be best for a laptop, thanks!

Hi Steven,
Sorry to say, but there is no "not so expansive" gear that is made in the USA.
Is it a must to buy american?

Default Buying American

No, that is just something I put in my post at the last minute! If you know of an inexpensive option I would appreciate your input.

There just so happens to be a used computer store just down the street two blocks from my house and I would just like to walk in there and tell them that I am looking for a Laptop that has XYZ features in it!
