Default Small footprint leveling amplifier

Hi!

I'm looking for a nice compressor that can compliment my Stillwell Rocket compressor, for more rms leveling.
Small footprint, free or cheap preferably.

What do you use?

I've been using ReaComp, Blockfish and Molot,
not missing that much,
yet feel like not settled on the matter.

Thoughts/opinions?

Due to its RMS compression engine (and unlike The Rocket, which uses peak compression)...

Thrillseeker LA is great. The Bombardier above is a little complex for my tastes but sounds amazing.

Thanks! Both too high on cpu I believe,
but I'll give Thrillseeker LA a second look.

If you like the Stillwell plugins, I think MajorTom has an RMS button from memory.

I demoed it a couple of years back and liked it a lot but the gui would do some weird things on my system.
They have just been updated so i'm going to test some out again myself.

Cheers

I'll check it out. Not really cheap, but
qualifies for testing

I use the TDR Compressor. It has both peak and excellent RMS functions. Comes with a great manual too.

Question, and hope this isn't considered thread hi-jacking, but has anyone compared The Rocket and/or Bombardier to TDR? I really want to like Stillwell's plugs, but I think I did some tests a (long) time ago and didn't find them to my taste. Could be I wasn't using them correctly. Wondering if anyone has experience with the above. Thanks.

Theres also these, free, the 165 and GTO are RMS compressors.

I haven't had any experience with them so can't say
how good they are or aren't, or how cpu intensive they are.

Cheers

Nice comp, but reads 10%cpu on my aging dual Pentium

The Rocket is fast, the TDR is for mastering, typical not-so-fast

Nice, but a little high cpu for bread and butter usage (4%)

Tried. Not bad. Good on cpu. Not very transparent, but rms and feedback engaged gave good gain-riding. I'll keep testing this a little.

Thanks! Liked it. Twice cpu of MajorTom, but not to bad (1,5%).
Nice control, and pretty transparent.
Will keep on testing.

Thanks folks!

Based on pure musical criteria,
1) Thrillerseeker LA
2) Blockfish
But, that's a very quick judgment.
