REQ: Control nudge with MIDI

Hey guys!
I want to control REAPER's nudge/set actions with a rotary MIDI controller.

I tried this custom action, but either direction makes it move right. It works correctly with mousewheel, but not MIDI input. What am I doing wrong? I have tried all 4 MIDI mode (absolute, 3x relative).

Action: Skip next action if CC parameter <0/mid
Item edit: Nudge left by last nudge dialog settings
Action: Skip next action if CC parameter >0/mid
Item edit: Nudge right by last nudge dialog settings

Also, I notice it's quite slow, but I'm not sure if that's the fault of mousewheel input or REAPER.
