Default Any way to use Windows VSTs?

Is there any way to convert the Windows VSTs to something Macs can use? There seem to be a lot more readily available, good, free VSTs for Windows (like the Storm Recording Studios ones) that don't have Mac options.

If you can wait a bit, keep your eyes open for the SM Pro Audio line of VST boxes:

http://www.smproaudio.com/

It looks like there will be a couple of alternatives to the Muse Receptor, in that they can host Windows VST's in a small, inexpensive piece of hardware...Only drawback is, they're not available yet!

I believe you can use wine on a mac (OSX as it's a unix) the same way you can on linux to play win vsts??
This thread for example:

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewto...highlight=wine

says it is possible, but just how easy (or not) it is, I don't know.

Yeah but... that wouldn't let me use the OS X version and the VSTs, would it?
