Default this is important ...

... imo ...

what i miss in reaper:
  • item fx additional fx-decay (think of reverb or delay) ...
for item fx individually, not global ...
  • numerical values (i.e. eventlist, or item porperties) mouse-up-down dragable ...i mean come on, we are in 2009 now, not 1987 ...
  • realtime item properties right below the timeline, for instant editing, once an item is selected (start, length, end, position, loop on/off, etc) ... why open a window and the need to hit apply??? again, it's 2009, the changes have to be applied in realtime, while the sequencer is playing ...
  • itembased, independant automation, so one can drag the automation-containing item to whatever track or position, then simply remap that automation curve to the parameter i want ... i hate trackbased automation ...
  • additional rubberband view with nodes (like the automation) for controller lanes in pianoroll (not velocity and cc 64, in fact no switches) ...
  • usereadjustable curves on the controller edit lanes in the pianoroll ...
  • event list and pianoroll both at once, not one or the other (stupid) ...

Nice FRs,I agree with most,if not all of them.I also prefer item-based over track-based automation.

  • one midi editor only (to keep it open always and include it into the screensets), linked to the itemselection, not multiple, if i don't need them ...
The midi editor request has been around for some time. Find the relevant FR thread and add your support there.

  • nested folders, as right now there's no way of putting a folder into another folder ...
  • fuck the limitation that the macros can only have 6 entries max ...
These have been requested before as well.

  • drag and drop any item to desktop to be rendered ...
This is now done in the new prerelease version. It's been requested by a lot of folks.

"ctrl+alt+drag items drops a rendered copy of items, hold shift to drag the source media"

Works for any sampler or other target outside of Reaper.

You can hit the return key instead as well.

  • multiple controller-edit rows in pianoroll ...
Done in the new prerelease of 2.302.

Anyone else care to comment on the other requests? I'm not much of a midi man.

What a stupid title - I normally ignore such threads as I'm sure many others do too.

Good FRs / Nitpicks though....

not stupid. the thread contains too much different things to name the thread accordingly. instead, the thread title exactly nails it: this is important.

however, some things are fixed/implemented, for the others, beeing equally important, here`s the bump ...

"bypass button on the plugin window itself ..."

+1

And not as a menu option, but a button right there on the surface.

Kind of surprising that isn't there already.

Item based automation is a must - if I make automation I want it to move or be copied if I do that to the item.

There is a sneaky Xenakios command action to "render to item with tail" which allows you to choose a tail length for the render

at the moment I make do with turning of loop and then dragging out the blank audio to a length just longer than my tail will probably be, this is then included in the render (sorry if this is obvious it's just in case!)

ahh, off to check, thanks!

edit:
thats rendering the item to new take. what i mean is, that i can render it without the take being created ... aswell as this extension doesn`t allow to give a name for the new take/audiofile ...

what i would like to see is something like this:

- render selected item (prompt for name and location)
- render selected item with tail with preview (prompt for name and location)
- render item to new item right next to the original on same track
- render item to new item with tail right next to the original on same track

item fx additional fx-decay (think of reverb or delay) ...
for item fx individually, not global ...

that can kind of be done with un looping the item and stretching out just blank space to choose how long the item fx will last for after the audio stops
