Thank you musicbynumbers. I'll fix that.

Thank you swiiscompos. I'll fix that too. You can right click in the FX CHAIN panel button to display a menu with options. There is Add FX there. But it will be improved with presets or something.

Also... I've been all night rewriting/debugging and I think I've been able to fix the undo bug that prevented to undo properly.

stay tuned for pre8(maybe tomorrow), which has more new features.

Not that the list of changes is anything other than amazing but..

.. Is being able to move inserts/plugins up and down (with arrows or dragging) still something that is possible and/or is coming down the line?

I'm not in a rush for it, just have my fingers crossed that it's possible and if not, I'm happy to beg Justin for it!

Hi Heda thanks for the new update.

- Track note panel expands itself to much even I add a single line of note. (v1.pre7)

Thank you all Sorry for delay in reply, I'm quite busy and need any free minute for scripting

I've added two new features. PREFX fader control. that adjust the prefx volume envelope.
and a kind of "waveform" display... not essential so it can be disabled of course.

well.. I almost have it but it doesn't work yet. The FX are moved with the API function provided, but then I have another bug getting properties of the FX, because it is getting the properties as if no plugin were moved.. something strange I need to carefully test more.

Wow, looking forward to it even more now! nice work on the waveform view!

Did you mention a multitrack version at some point an 8 channel version would be an awesome mixer. Not a big deal though. I'm super happy with what I'm seeing here already of course!

No rush on the track effects stuff, hope you manage to work it out!

Sent v1.0beta1.
More info here:
Download v1.0 beta1

I've tested all I could, but now I expect a lot of new bugs could happen when you all get into testing it.

PD: I also need updating HeDa_Loudness Graph to work with latest dpMeter version. That's coming next.

Thank you everybody! I hope you can enjoy it and don't find many bugs

Wow, great update HeDa!

In Global Options.ini:
Fadermax and min db seems not to work.

Possible to also have an option for the Parameters sliders to have absolute mode = false?

Fortunately I had lots of bananas to pacify that crazy monkey!

Heda, This is really good. Thanks for all your efforts. I've just tested and everthing seems to be fine.

My last requests if it is possible :

- Please "Add Fx Chain" like "Add fx"
- A/B all settings
- copy/paste all settings between tracks

Great work on this so far Heda!

I'm having a few problems getting the Meter panel to work. I think it may be related to the previous dpMeter install I had. I already had dpMeter 1.4.3 installed before I installed track inspector (both the VST2 and VST3 versions). I have since removed the VST2 version but it still won't display any values in the meter.

I have created the Loudness dpMeter preset as required.

Any ideas how I can fix?

Also, in addition to this, is there any way you are able to prevent the track inspector window from stealing window focus away from the main Reaper window when it is undocked? I have mouse buttons that activate start and stop (amongst other things) which don't work when the focus is stolen from the main Reaper window. I noticed the same thing with the Notes Reader too. EDIT: ignore this focus problem for now. Seems to be intermittent. I'll try to narrow down cause and get back with more information.

EDIT 2: I have worked out the cause of the meter not displaying now... Working great now, so you can ignore this entire post altogether

EDIT 3: BTW, The cause of my problem was that my default send volume is -inf. Once I realised that you are using a send to Track Inspector, I just increased the send volume to unity and all was good. Can I make a feature request?... Can you set the send for Track Inspector to 0dB when it is started rather than using the tracks default? If I'm in my Mixer view I can easily double click on the send volume dial and set it to 0dB, but when I am in Arrange view it's not as easy. Would be great if you could add this?

fadermaxdB = 24
fadermindB =-48
It works for me. But when the fader reaches the top, you can keep dragging to increase more if needed. That's how it is designed. If you need absolute limit, you can use the UL and DL limit buttons.

I know some parameters are not very useful in the current state, for example, Reacomp threshold, an absolute mode false would be good, but only for some parameters. Maybe a small button for each parameter to activate that mode.

Good that you had bananas hahaha

I don't see any action to add fx chain in REAPER, I could add a button to open the SWS resources FX chain browser.

A/B and copy settings between tracks: I don't need this feature right now, but it is a cool idea. Maybe it is not a good idea to copy/paste ALL settings. Maybe you only want to copy the fx chain, or just the sends etc. I may add this for future versions. For now I want to focus now in solving bugs, and maybe improve a bit the automation panel.

Thank you.. yes that's a bug. Track Inspector sends should always be +0.0dB so I'll fix that. Thanks!

Double clicking in the send bar in Track Inspector will also reset it to 0.0 db.

I've sent beta1 to the paypal email address to all who donated after beta1 was sent so you don't have to wait until beta2 mail. Tell me if it arrived or if you need to change it to another email, instead of the paypal one.

mmm strange. This message only appears once if the preset is not found.
I have only tested with VST3 x64 version. But it should not matter.. it's only the preset that is important and I see you have it. Did you copy the vst3-dpMeter x64.ini included in the zip? or did you create the preset manually?

I copied manually.

But I see the "Loudness" preset is written to "vst3-dpMeter.ini"
not "vst3-dpMeter x64.ini"

Do you use REAPER x32? you can still use x32 plugins in REAPER x64.
I'm not sure why it doesn't work in x32. You should really use REAPER64 and dpmeter VST3 x64. Could you test it?

Great achievement, Heda! Thank you for your hard work! I downloaded this today from your Patreon and I'm trying it out now.

The only problems I found so far are as follows:

- On exit it doesnt unload the plugins it loads on start in the Master track.
- Very CPU intensive - especially the wave-display part (is there a way to disable the wave-display other than manually disabling "JS: Track_Inspector" script from the FX chain?)

thank you. your first post? Welcome! Nice that it is to speak about Track Inspector!

It should unload the master track plugins when exiting. Unless there is a second instance (the master Track Inspector one) running, or if they are needed for HeDa_Loudness Graph too.

JS: Track_Inspector is used for peaks, and waveform display. They don't take as much CPU as dpMeter, but if you don't need them they can be disabled in the METERS panel menu (right click on the meters text) But there is a bug that doesn't disable the plugins.
Also, I created a "Listening Mode" that completely hides the meters, including EBU meters, to save CPU, but again... failed miserably to disable the plugins. But now I think I should even delete the track inspector hidden track and skip the sends creation for even more CPU efficiency. I'll fix that in next release. Thanks!

Interesting, on my system, this is the most intensive plug in the chain (more than twice CPU than dpMeter)

@exidus:
It's very strange. the JS plugin doesn't really calculate anything.
But now that you mention.. I should really include the RMS calculation into it again and leave the audio statistics one. I tried and failed so I decided to go and use audio_statistics temporarily. I'm only using it for the RMS values. So I think we can improve CPU there too by using only JS:Track_Inspector. I'll try again to include the RMS into JS:Track_Inspector and remove the need of audio_statistics

Well, if all x64 is required,
then I'll pass I guess.
