Default Playing with Returns

Hello,

Trying to recreate shimmer reverb the way i do in Ableton, but no success
In Ableton i can send signal from "return A" to "return B", then send it the same time backward from B to A - and it gives a nice shimmer effect.

But when i create two channels (say "return A" and "return B") in Reaper and trying to send my signal from A to B - all is OK. But when i'm sending the same time from B to A - sound immediately dissapears and no sound anyway

Maybe i do something wrong? Or maybe Reaper can't do it the way Ableton (or Pro Tools) does? Thanks.

Enable "Allow feedback in routing" in Project Settings > Advanced. By default sends are turned off when a routing loop is detected (even MIDI in audio out counts as feedback).
