Default FX Browser: align the plug-in names

Aligning the names looks a lot better to me:

For sure, looks better. But how about labeled sections instead?
like:
-------VSTi--------
plugin
plugin
plugin
--------JS----------
plugin
plugin
plugin

I'm still with ED on this one, don't think the types need to be listed there at all. Especially don't like the way they mess up the alphabetization of the lists.

It will be handy. And if someone says GUI isn't important, then I say it's very useful and important!

It does. But it's a trade-off: the downside is that you get to see a few less characters of those long names that don't fit into a (small) window, which may be (subjectively) more important.

For the 'recently used' list shown there, absolutely *not*.

And for other categories/folders, I still much prefer to see the different format versions of a plug-in grouped then everything sorted by format. I wouldn't mind having formats available as sub-categories, though. But it's easy enough to add e.g. "VST" to a search query when looking for a specific format only.

I'm not - in some cases it's quite important to me that I can see whether a plug-in is in VST or AU format.

I even can't get my plugins sorted by name excluding plugin type like you have in this screenshot (well, besides in Recently used, but I presume you have it shown like that in other folders if I correctly remember your other screenshot on some pre topic)
I always have VST shown first, then VST3, then VSTi, then JS etc...

Is it possible that it has something to do with localization? Are you using langpack of some sorts?

oh don't get me started on those abominable skinless plugins... they're all smelly and lazy! i don't think they even belong in the same window with the obviously more civilized, skinned plugins.

are we allowed to be politically incorrect? if yes, I am completely with you. these ugly bunches of sliders ... ugh! you have to read what is written on them. counterintuition at its best.

make the JS-stuff look nicer or hide it. we have this nice neighbourhood of nice looking plugins and we dont want that to be spoiled.

(hopefully I will not get banned ... )
