Default Midi overdub.

Hi!

I have a simple question.
Im recording a midi item. When I've record something good, but after the good part becomes shitty part, I simply grab the end of the "block" and drag them to the left, and I 'deleting' the shitty part. But the part that i don't want is still in the midi file, and when im recording again on it (with overdub option on), the block is automatic extending himself, and reveals my shitty part again. How can I simply crop the file, with deleting my shitty part?

(sry for my english, I trust you can understand this

greetings

1) glue the cropped item to itself before overdubbing.

or

2) split the item instead of cropping it, and delete
the unwanted part. Option "allow trim of MIDI items"
must be on in preferences > Media > MIDI.
