Default Allow selection changes in MIDI editor track list to affect arrange view

Please, we need this option.
The basic idea is to allow for changes in item/track selection in MIDI track list to change selection in the arrange view.

My personal use case has to do with already existing option to automatically record-arm selected tracks. Combining these two ideas would make MIDI composition in REAPER much smoother.

Thank you!

edit:
This FR seems to be quite similar to another FR: http://forum.cockos.com/project.php?issueid=3120

Yes, this would be a very welcome addition to the ME.

Breeder, is your FR basically the same as mine?

FR: Auto Rec-Arm Track TCP/MCP when selecting notes in MIDI Editor's Track List
http://forum.cockos.com/project.php?issueid=3120

I voted for your FR. I'm pretty sure we're talking about the same thing. I basically wish the MIDI Editor's Track List would act like little TCPs.

Yup, FRs seem basically the same...unless there are some other consequences besides auto rec-arm that happen when you select the track - I'm not sure if that's the case at the moment, but it's worth mentioning.

Maybe you could reference my FR from your FR so devs are aware of both requests if/when they notice it (I'll do the same)

I'm in favour of any, probably preferring mikerophonics since selecting a note in the ME should change track selection too. But they are so close it seems a shame not to merge them instead of having competing FRs. The key is that changes to active track in the ME should be reflected in the TCP.

This should optionally be with the Track List, Media Item Lane and changes in track/item caused by note selection.

The ME should also update itself when a focused track/item changes when using one per project. At the moment the header doesn't update with the current item and the named notes do not change to reflect the change in track.

What is really cool is that it's small stuff like this that is left to enhance the ME piano roll. Let's all go with this one since Breeder is an SWS knight who should be rewarded by the Kings once per season with an FR of his choosing.

I can't think of any, but as always, it could be made as a preference by right-clicking on the MIDI Editor Track List:
[ ] Selecting a Track in the Track List selects it in main window (or something like that)

Linked up to your FR's voting thread.
