Default CD Burning - ImgBurn

Not sure how many of you use ImgBurn for your CD burning, but note what the latest version (Apr 1) includes... (deleted about a million non-audio features). Hooray wavpack!

* Added: Support for burning APE/FLAC/WV files with an embedded CUE sheet as if they were normal image files.
* Added: Accurate audio duration calculation (via a dummy decode pass just before the burn) leading to less gaps/padding and no missing audio data.
* Added: Variable 'PreGap Snapping' whereby gaps will snap to the nearest second (multiple of 75 frames) if within the specified range. (i.e. 1 second, 72 frames will snap to 2 seconds)
* Added: The ability to sort tracks in the order of the 'Track Number' field in any available file 'Tag' within the 'Create CD CUE File' window.
* Added: Support for 'WavPack' files (*.wv) in the 'Create CD CUE File' window.
* Changed: Updated ImgBurnPreview.exe to the latest code - this one has support for audio.
* Changed: Handling of the 'Delete the image when done' option when the image is a CUE file. The user can now delete the CUE without deleting the files it calls upon (if more than 1).
* Changed/Fixed: The 'Delete image' button on the 'Insert next disc' window didn't prompt the user when deleting multiple files (like in a CUE with lots of audio tracks).

Funny you should mention that - I downloaded it a few days ago for video burning purposes, tried to burn a cue sheet involving Wavpack (as an alternative to Burrrn) and got an error. Looks like I'm already a version behind, so I'll update and try again.

No. still doesn't like a cue file referring to a wavpack file. Unless I should be reading the manual first?!

OK... actually read the error message, downloaded the Core wavpack directshow filter (you'd think that as all audio I do is in wavpack format I would have had that already!) and it works! If it seems to offer some handy alternative functions as compared with the more simple Burrrn, and if I can find some command line stuff, I might build it into ReaBurn 3.0. Thanks for the heads-up!

(The verify function looks like it may be very handy!)

Hmmm - getting "invalid access to memory location" errors half way through burning.

Trying Burrrn on the same file... yup, Burrrn is happy with it. Some incompatibility therefore with ReaBurn-produced cue sheets, or a bug in ImgBurn. Rats.

I'm using ImgBurn from now on as Feurio is annoyingly complicated and Burrrn just doesn't see my burner on the Laptop.
ImgBurn has a really good verify function and is able to cope with just about anything else you throw at it too! LUK (Lightning UK) needed a new hobby after his DVD Dycripet got heavily squashed by the industry.

Cheers

Does it work for wavpack with you? Whatever I do it comes up with the same error each time part way through, but all my other wavpack friendly software is happy with the files I'm trying.

I'm still getting the DirectShow error for some reason.
