Questionable sorting order for preset names
Now, get ready for THE nitpicks of all nitpicks.
Wouldn't there be more logic in if the presets were sorted in alphabetic/numeric order, rather than "put last modified preset last in list"?
Let's say I have presets like this (i.e. ReaEQ):
000 My Default
001 [Guitar] Dull
002 [Guitar] Clean
003 [Bass] A
004 [Vox] Lead
[...]
028 [FX] In the box
Now, let's say I'd like to modify the "clean" guitar preset. After I save the preset the list looks like this:
000 My Default
001 [Guitar] Dull
003 [Bass] A
004 [Vox] Lead
[...]
028 [FX] In the box
002 [Guitar] Clean
This is driving me nuts!

Sorry, Valle,
which presets are you referring to?
From your example it looks like they are sorted in "date modified" order.
Alphabetic/numeric order is best for me too.

Argh! I forgot!
I'm talking about the FX-presets, i.e. ReaEQ (the FX chain window)
Sorry for that!

OK
But I can't see any of the stock presets for my Reaxxxx Fx - they are all there is the C:\Documents and Settings\DarkStar\Application Data\REAPER folder though.
Is there a setting I have missed?

IS this a bug?

If you have the plugin (ReaEQ) in float mode you won't be able to choose any presets, you must go to fx chain window (FX on tcp(mcp) to access the presets for all native plugins. (This is actually pretty stupid)

Yep - confirming that REAPER stores presets in the order that they were created.. you can see this if you open any preset-*.ini file in the REAPER program folder.
For now you could rearrange them in that file if you wanted a particular one at the top, say. But it would be sensible to have them auto-sorted.
