Default [6.73] Media Explorer: Show in Explorer/Finder doesn't work

Select a file (MP3) in media explorer

Action: Show file in Explorer/Finder

Expected: Open Explorer window with file

What actually happens:
Explorer window opens but at "This PC" location showing my drives etc.

Possible cause: It seems that Reaper adds an additional backslash after the drive letter.

++++++++++++++++

My PC:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4430 CPU @ 3.00GHz 3.00 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.87 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Edition Windows 10 Pro
Version 22H2
OS build 19045.2364

Hmm what path is the media file in, and what is the filename?

It's working here on both C:\path\to\file.mp3 and C:\file.mp3, but maybe there's something about the path or filename that is breaking things...

I explain what I do...

I have a shortcut to disk D:

I click on the shortcut, there is D:\ in the path

Now I click on the little (+) to open tree view, then click on MP3.

Reaper added an extra backslash to the path.

Nevertheless, the audio files I click on are playing and are insertable into the project, but "Show in Explorer" doesn't work
