Resize all track lanes at the same time? Possible?
I could very well be missing something, so forgive the dumb question. But can you resize all track lanes at once in Reaper? For instance, in Sonar if you select multiple tracks and then hold the shift key while you resize one track vertically, all the selected tracks will resize to the same size as the one you dragged.
Is that possible in Reaper?

Hi Brent,
you could use the mouse-wheel for this while pressing the ctrl-key or you press ctrl+shift+cursor up/down.

First of all, thank you BOTH for the suggestions. For some reason I hadn't tried either. Those will both be handy for navigation.
However, I guess I should say that I was/am hoping there is a way to resize ONLY the selected tracks. It's not the end of the world if it can't. But cool if it could. If not, I could put in a FR maybe?
Thanks again.

It does seem to be a rather obvious oversight, doesn't it? Closest you can get is to select the tracks and press Shift+1 (i.e the !). But that might make them bigger than you want ....

Yeah, a little too big. Not that it would ALWAYS be too big. But having exact control would be great.
It helps when ctrl-scrolling isn't as accurate(jumps a bit, but not a Reaper problem). Also, when you resize ALL tracks, it often doesn't let you keep the track you want in focus. Being able to drag one and affect all selected gives you a little more precise control.
Hopefully others find this useful. If not, I'll get over it!
Thanks Nicholas.

Agreed ... this is one of those little things in Sonar that I miss.

You can even try to install the Xenakios Extensions if you haven't done this already.
There you can set two heights (A and B).
Then you can assign shortkeys to these configurations.

Thanks for the suggestion. It's not quite what I would want though. When editing and moving things around, I never know how big I'll want something at any given time. I just move things as needed. So having two set levels wouldn't necessarily work.
Doesn't mean I won't give those extensions a try though. I may just find something else cool there! Thanks!

Holding down ALT while resizing tracks will resize all selected tracks to the same size or am I missing something?

YAY! LOSER, you nailed it! Apparently I wasn't the only one who didn't know how to do this. But thanks to your help, now I know you can! I could have sworn that I tried all combinations. It works exactly as I was hoping, just using a different key(which I may just reassign if it's possible).
So thanks again. I knew that if it were possible, SOMEBODY would know how. Cheers!

Well, CTRL changes ALL track sizes to whatever you drag a track to, including the tracks that are not selected. Alt changes ONLY the tracks that are selected.
My only other wish, and I could probably do this with macros or something(if somebody wants to take a stab at it, let me know!), it to be able to select certain tracks, hit a hotkey that hides all non-selected tracks, and maximizes the selected tracks to fill the window. Is that possible through macros?
Is there a way to do that? I hope I don't seem helpless here. I just can't find a key in the hotkey list to zoom the view to the size of the project. I also know I'm being picky! Just trying to see how much of my Sonar workflow can be used here. Thanks again to all who have helped so far!

That's right. Wasn't the topic about "All tracks"?

Hehe, yeah, kinda. It kind of evolved throughout the thread.I wasn't as specific as I should have been at first.
But it is cool with me. I learned something new today, and that's always a good thing. So I do appreciate the help, even if my topic got a little skewed from the original request. Thanks!

DUH! Thanks for pointing to that one, I missed that. Gotta make a sticky on my monitor until I use it intuitively...
