You need to disable auto scroll.

Dstruct, the problem is not in auto scroll. Just try this steps to reproduce problem:
1) Select some midi item
2) Perform action "View: Zoom time selection"
3) Perform action "Move cursor to start of loop"

And you'll see the problem. It can be done with or without auto scroll, the result will be the same.
The problem is that "Move cursor to start of loop" in zoomed mode not only moves cursor, but also moves view

Yea, I've noticed the same rather odd behaviour when fixing up some custom actions.

I figured out sort of a workaround though. This should do the trick in actions where you want to eg. set the loop on one item, zoom on it and play/repeat it - with one keystroke.

In your custom action toggle the play action first and the zoom action after the play action. If you do it other way around you'll get that annoying zoom thing. Thought, I'm not sure if you're even using the function the way I'm using =)(might not be a sensible workaround for you).

Just for an example:

I'd like to have a custom action wich sets the time selection on selected item, sets the zoom on that item (via time selection we just set), move the cursor to the left side of the selection, toggles repeat on and plays. Thus creating a 1 keystroke zoom and repeat function.

So in order to get the above example to function properly, you have to put the zoom to time selection action after the play action in the custom action hiearchy. If you put it like this: zoom to time selection -> play, it'll screw it up. Put if you do it play -> zoom time selection, it'll work properly.
