It sounds like you're after support for surround then as well as support for multi-output VST.
My experience is with the Soundfield MK IV, which was made by Calrec. It came with a processor unit that allowed you to record the 4-channel B format surround signal. You could then mix back through the processor unit to arrive at a Stereo master. Great for recording classical music in concert halls.
Which VST plugins allow you to do the encoding? I can understand a VST for mixdown, but wouldn't you still need a microphone like the Soundfield as the source for the encoding?
