Hey satyatunes

You succeeded to make a wonderful theme.I like the light colors and the minimalistic look.

The only thing I would change is the clip indicators in the vu meters. They are the same color as the whole scale in the meter and very hard to notice when its clipping.

Thanks for sharing this theme with us

Regards J

Hi,

Very nice satya!

Way to come out swingin! Light themes in Reaper are harder to do right than dark IMHO, I like it. Thx for sharing.

Normally I prefer dark themes, however I really like this one. You did a great job.

I do agree with Janne83 though, clipping is kinda hard to see.

Man, I was judging by the pic on the stash site (the one here is small).
I installed it. This thing ROCKS dude!!!In other words: It's fracking awesome!!!
Have you tried to make a dark version of this?

Also wondering (generally speaking) the Count Clock at the trasnport can't have that same sweet background the RAte/BMP/TimeSignature/Selection mini display windows have? (The ones at the transport too)

Nice theme, just wanted to let you know I think the link you gave is the wrong one (you can still find the theme pretty easily but just so you know).

Thanks for pointing it out, fixed it.

I'm not sure if that's possible, cause I didn't find any image that could change that.. I would love to make it look like the other buttons on the transport bar.

Seriously, I haven't tested it yet using Reaper (so I don't know about the clipping issue or whatever), but only loading into Reaper and adding some tracks, but so far if a new default should be set, this is the winner! (Even when I loooove to dead LEdfest).

This doesn't work for me which sucks because it looks absolutely beautiful!

I move it into the correct folder for themes, and all my other themes work, but when I load this I just get the 'Classic UI' theme.....

Dude, it's great you took my little "request" into consideration.
Second, even though I've already posted opinions on new skins in general in this thread http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=62567&page=2 and http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=43608&page=17
where in escence resumes in "I don't think it's worth making a NEW theme for the current version.
Hopefully for Reaper 4 the GUI will have a revamp, specially on location of different parts of it. And addition of knobs, vertical vu meters for the TCP, lots of things." And it seems that on that thread they agreed.

NEVERTHELESS, I think yours is the best so far, and if someone disagrees with me, then you could say definitely is ONE of the BEST so far, and I gotta suggest another thing, VERY seriously: KEEP AND DON'T LOSE ALL YOUR MASTERS OF THIS THEME! Why? Because I bet when Reaper 4 comes out, and I bet it will have knobs too, you could translate easily (hopefully) this gorgeous theme of yours to the new Reaper "look".

Just imagine your excellent theme with knobs like: http://www.motu.com/newsitems/images/dp7-2-themes.gif

It would look better, I think, but that's just a dream we'll have to wait to come true, if possible at all.

THANKS A LOT FOR THIS THEME OF YOURS, I looove it.

Please check whether the images folder is set properly. I uploaded version 1.2 just now. Please download it and let me know if your problem persists.

Just downloaded it now, same thing is happening. For a test I grabbed your darker version and tested that. That's working fine for me, but this one isn't

That's a very nice light theme

I don't really do light themes normally, but I would give this a whirl.

Toolbar is nice and clear - if a bit light

I can't make my mind up about the name BGs, they remind me of Windows OS a bit too much - but they do work

Well done that man

Default Same problem

Very nice theme, I really like the light backgrounds and rich colors.

BUT, I have the same problem as Stylimusic: the first theme does not load (nothing happens when you select it). The second theme with the darker backgrounds loads fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Hartley

Well, make sure the settings are same as shown in the screen shot below, when you select the theme.

Important point is, theme should pick the images from the correct folder, hence check the option "Theme uses image resources:". Make sure it points to folder "SatyaTunes_I".

Default still not working?

I followed your advice in the previous post, but the same thing happens: Reaper ends up loading the default ui. ????

Another question is what do you do to use the SWScolor file, per above?

Thanks,
Hartley

Yeah I can confirm Harley's right - I checked the settings before I posted here too, and it still loads the Classic UI...

I haven't checked which of these fixed it (it didn't hold its use images tick in preferences), but here's what I did:
  • Extracted the zip
  • Removed the read only settings
  • Removed the SWS file
  • Rezipped to a ReaperThemeZip
..it now works, so try one/all of them.

Default Works for me, too!!

WT, ST,

I did only the first step above, unzipped the theme into the Reaper theme folder. The theme and SWS Color files are at the top level of that folder, with the PNG subfolder beneath it. Works fine now!

I'm not sure how to be certain whether it's using the SWS color file, but I think it is, because the colors look like they match those in the example at the top of the post.

Thanks again to both of you,
Hartley

Default thank you.

I used WINRAR. First I created the zip file, then renamed it to .ReaperThemeZip in windows explorer.

I was scratching my head after seeing the problems people are facing. I couldn't replicate it so was hoping some theme expert like you to help them and you did, thanks a lot.
