Default Black Eyed Peas Remake

http://soundcloud.com/slidemasterx/a...l-the-apl-song

For one of my school projects I had to reproduce a song by the Black Eyed Peas. Basically the objective was to get as close as possible to the original song.

For those who haven't heard the original APL Song, here it is:

Every sound that I recorded had to be meticulously edited to make it sound like the original and sometimes it took me days to edit a single sound. It took me 5 months to finish this. 3 months for transcribing the original song and recording everything and another 2 months for editing, mixing and mastering.

That really matches up with the original very nicely! Only the little guitar break in the middle where they run part of the guitar backwards is missing, but the sounds are really on the money. Nice work!

Impressive work.

Yeah, it matches very close. Also mixing and production are on a very high level imo.
Congrats.

Out of interest, may I ask which school are you attending where you get such tasks ?

Thanks guys! I study music production at the Royal conservatory of Ghent, Belgium.

clkonkol - That guitar break in the middle was only in the music video version and not on the album. I was kinda excited to include that but I couldn't find an mp3 of that version anywhere.
