View Full Version : Lexicon Lambda & Reaper vs. Media Players

Hi, All,
I'm using the Lexicon Lambda with Reaper.
Everything works fine, except when I have a media player open -- either Win Media Player or Winamp. Both are the most-recent versions.
In either one, the audio output turns into "white noise" when I open Reaper.
Any suggestions?

i guess it's got something to do with reaper "taking control" over the sound card and maybe changing samplerates or whatever.
try opening reaper first and then launching your media player(s) - i doubt that ANY sound will come out at all. :)

It'll be a driver problem.
Reaper actually closes its audio connection when it loses focus - allowing other Apps to use the sound device as multitasking demands. It seems that many can't cope though - especially firewire devices seem to have trouble.
