I'm using Windows XP with an old Roland UA 100 interface (software upodated for XP).

I first record an intrument on Channel 1.

When I play back CH-1 and try to record music on CH-2, CH-1's music is recorded into CH-2 while I'm recording the new instrument onto CH-2.

I checked a number of Reaper menus but I can't make Reaper record separate channels. Any one have any ideas about this?

Thanks

Check the control panel for the UA 100. Does it have a record what you hear function? is it enabled?

Have you double checked your routing? Is Channel 1 feeding Channel 2?

What record modes does this behaviour happen with?
