View Full Version : Two new keyboard shortcuts: "View: Scroll to top" and "View: Scroll to bottom"?

There are a number of times when it'd be really helpful to map the "Home" key on the keyboard to scroll all the way to the top of the track view and the "End" key to scroll all the way to the bottom.

For example, if I render a session and tell Reaper to import the rendered session into the current session, it will place the rendered tracks at the very bottom of the track list. On a 30+ track session, it'll usually take a few seconds to scroll down to the very bottom if I'm using the keyboard. It seems the workflow could be a bit better in this situation so I can get to where I want to go as quickly as possible.

So... what if there were two new custom keyboard shortcuts -- "View: Scroll to top" and "View: Scroll to bottom"?

Or is there another way to accomplish this that I've overlooked?

You could use ReaperScript or AutoHotKeys to do this in a keystroke...natively, not really. I would like it also.

Another addition which would be nice... "View: Scroll page up" and "View: Scroll page down".

It's a bit frustrating scrolling up and down via the keyboard with just the "View: Scroll view up" and "View: Scroll view down" keyboard assignments, as they don't scroll a full screen at a time. Ideally, I'd like to scroll up and down the track list like I do in my web browser with the Page Up and Page Down keys. Right now it takes a few too many keystrokes IMO.

I find the mouse wheel with a mod super convenient for this. no?
My left hand is already on the keyboard.

I don't use a mouse -- I use a pen tablet, and there's no mousewheel equivalent on it.

Right then, +1.

I don't know why I didn't turn this into a feature request before. So here it is...
