Hello!
This is my second REAPER production. It is a proggy ode to the last century's greatest unsung scientific genius. Tell me what you think of the song and the mix.
Also I would like to insert a guest solo (Synth, violin, vibes -?) for 12 bars. Sorry, no payment, I'm only a hobbyist :^)

Interesting

I think it's all good, the composition, arrangement, balance etc.

It may be me or my listening environment, but I feel the low end is cut off, like it's all high passed in the final, or my speakers don't have enough low end

Very good execution, mix and performance.

My gut feeling is it would benefit from some changes in EQ and possibly compression in the final mix

:)

I enjoyed it.

Here's a solo I took on my 1970 Wurlitzer 200. It's dry, so feel free to munge it however you see fit. There's about four bars of silence from me starting the recording just playing along to the soundcloud in my browser.

Edit: it occurs to me that I didn't start on beat 1, so it may be easiest to line up the hits at the end. Even if you later trim those off--do as you wish.

Thanks for listening!
Ted: I will be getting a good pair of monitors in few weeks, then I will have a much better handle on the mix. I used (judiciously!) the master limiter and exciter from Reaper's list but probably can do better.
Rob: I am at work now, I will download your work tomorrow. Thanks!
