Hello,

In a nutshell:
How can I "initialize" the settings of a given synth instrument so that all the knobs/settings are correct when the track starts?

More explanation:
I am using Reaper to record a MIDI track using Native Instruments SkannerXT. The synth has several knobs on the interface that I have mapped to my MIDI controller keyboard. For this particular instrument, each knob had a starting position of 50. As I performed the track I turned the various knobs.

When I play back the recording, the knobs turn automatically (as I expected). However, when I get to the end of the recording (or if I press stop) all the affected knobs are suddenly set to a value of 0. Now if I go back to the beginning and play again, the track does not sound correctly because the knobs are in the wrong position. So, each time I play the track I have to first manually reset all the knobs...

Thanks in advance for any help!

Reaper Preferences - Audio - MIDI Devices - On stop/play: Reset CC -> uncheck

Try that.

Doesn't Reaper have some kind of a "snapshot" feature?
