A mellow instrumental. Arpeggiated piano on a few tracks and a few synths.
I can't get to grip with decent drum patterns and sounds.
I'd appreciate some feedback and advice.

Cheers.

Really nice piano -- both sound-wise and composition-wise. Is it all MIDI? If so, what VST do you use? Drums felt a little too low in the mix. I think for the type of music, the drum sounds are fine. Some of the synth leads were a little too video-gamey for me (specifically the one that came in at 0:15s), but that's just personal taste (coming from someone that puts video game synths in his music ;) ). I think the melody of the synth is fine, for sure.

All done with VST's within reaper. No controller keyboard yet. It's a bit of a pain just using a computer keyboard.
Three arpeggiated piano patterns using "Nexus Grand Piano Soft".
I quite like that synth sound at 00:15 but I'll play with others.

The drums are a bit low, a bit weedy too. I'll work on it.

Thank you for the feedback.

Oh do not worry about the synths. Just one guy's opinion. If you like them, then they are perfect :)

What's the piano VST called that you're using?
