I'm basically using cntrl-drag to get the resolution control I need all of the time. This basically applies to all controls....
It would be really nice if the "cntrl-drag" resolution could just be made a default switch.

I'd like to see it as a toolbar thing... perhaps Tweak Mode Key-bindable... often when it comes time to fine tune one thing I am fine tuning several... then back to broad strokes...
sorry for the sort-of-hijack.
++1 nonetheless!

It is also dependent upon screen resolution and vertical mixer size. If you're lucky enough to have multiple monitors you can put the mixer on one with a large vertical size and the resolution is better. I'd also like to see a toggle like Tallisman mentioned though. Along with a set of user definable fader "velocity" parameters, that would be way cool.

I'm not using the MCP so that's not an issue...
I just want finer control as a default.
My tunes are always fine, so yeah make this an option ;)
Just don't apply it to JS plugs please! I like the ability to change how fine-tune-able those are!

I like the way Emu handles some of the faders in Patchmix.
The look like knobs, until you click on them. Then they display a fader, the mouse jumps right to the slider.
Now, besides the space saving on the tracks, the popup fader could be defined to be from 1 inch to 16 inches, or longer.
No loss in functionality, an improvement in control.

Yeah, that would be cool, that was an FR from long ago...
