Hi everyone,
Just downloaded the latest OSX version.
I've played the demo file and that's all good. When I try to import a media file (AIFF, 16-bit, stereo, duration 5 seconds, sr 48k) it is stretched out to about
66 hrs duration, ie pitch-shifted down by a factor of 48000, 1 sample per second.
I made sure the project setting reflected the format of the file
What am I doing wrong??
any suggestions/advice out there?
Terry

Thanks,

I'm using a PPC dual 1.25ghz with 10.4.11
and I had the same problem when using reaper 0.40U, and probably should have reported it then.

OK, just downloaded the 0.6 version, no more AIFF wierdness, thanks very much! Pretty amazing turnaround. Thanks again.

I can't seem to import anything into the latest OS X Reaper. This is a 1.83gHz Intel MacBook running 10.4.11.
I can open the INSERT and MEDIA windows, but my .aif and .aiff files are gray in the selection window.
Any help is appreciated. I must be missing something...
I start teaching a college-level music technology class in January and would like to aim the students away from Cubase and toward Reaper.

I'm on 10.4.10, intel macbook. Can't play random aif or wav files that work on 5 other programs on this mac. It has the extension in the filename. Some just don't come up with a waveform, others have the waveform and don't play (holy hell frustrating!).
<edit to add: newest version of reaper>
